Will our wedding be legally recognised in the UK?
Yes, your marriage will be legal in accordance with British law and will be registered in Turkey. You marriage certificate is proof that you are legally bound by law, as if you had been married in the UK.
If we choose the full package, do we have to have the whole package?
No you can leave out any item within the package you don’t require and a reduction in price will be quoted. Also you can add any other items to the package such as imported drinks and we will quote you for this.
What happens when we arrive?
As soon as is convenient for you, we will meet you at your accommodation to discuss your plans and to finalise all your requirements. We can then take you to your chosen location for you to familiarise yourself with it and to go over the itinerary.
Do we receive a Marriage Certificate?
Yes you will both receive a certificate along with a marriage book as soon as the ceremony is completed.
Is the ceremony a religious or civil ceremony ?
All legal weddings in Turkey are civil ceremonies, traditionally conducted in Turkish with a translator provided.
Can we customise our ceremony with personal vows/readings/music?
Yes. Also if you would like a member of our staff to read any vows etc. we are happy to arrange this. Please have them typed in large print.
Do we need to have witnesses present?
Yes two witnesses must be present and they cannot be a member of your immediate family and must be over 18 years old. If this is a problem, two people to act as witnesses, will be provided for you.
What is the best day to get married?
Any day you wish including weekends.
What is the best time to get married?
Early evening is the best time to get married, temperatures are cooler and the light is better for photography.
What should we wear?
Your day can be as formal or casual as you wish. Consider the climate when choosing your wedding outfits. Tight dresses or suits and man made fibres could be uncomfortable
What besides the legally required documentation should we bring with us?
Besides your normal holiday needs and your wedding outfits, the rings if required– although these can be bought in Turkey. We can also organise the bridal bouquet, button holes, hairdressing and entertainment for you if required.
What choice of food and music is there?
An open buffet include fishes, steaks, chickens and meatballs – or a mixture of all. This is served with a mixture of jacket potatoes, salads, pasta etc. The menu will be discussed when we meet on your arrival as well as your preference for any music, either using our CDs or bring your own.
Will my wedding consultant be present during the ceremony?
A Turkish co-ordinator will be in attendance during the entire day, to ensure everything goes smoothly and according to your plans.
Can we have the photographer and videographer for a longer time than is included in the wedding packages?
Yes, for an additional fee, payable locally.
What are the payment conditions?
The non-refundable deposit of 20% of the package value is due upon confirmation. Full payment is due on your arrival in Turkey.
